LOS ANGELES, CA, August 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Drug-Free World Foundation brought its drug-prevention education campaign to hundreds attendees at a FIFA World Cup watch party at Amelia Mayberry Park in Los Angeles County on June 24, 2026, providing families, community members, public officials and law enforcement with factual information about the dangers of drugs and the importance of making informed, drug-free choices.
The event, held during the Czechia vs. Mexico match, featured the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit as part of the organization’s FIFA World Cup campaign. Approximately 250 people engaged directly with the Drug-Free World exhibit, while several attendees toured the full exhibit. Volunteers distributed thousands of copies of the organization’s Truth About Drugs educational booklets to people attending the watch party.
The outreach generated strong interest from members of the local community and public service organizations.
A local official expressed appreciation for having drug-prevention materials available at the event and suggested working with the park organizer to provide boxes of educational booklets to a nearby teen center where young people gather.
The exhibit also connected with people whose personal experiences gave particular meaning to the drug-prevention message. One attendee shared that she had overcome drug addiction and had been sober for 20 years. She expressed appreciation for the educational materials, requested to record the exhibit to share with her family, and discussed the possibility of bringing Truth About Drugs materials to a school in her community.
The event organizer was so impressed with the educational resources that she took the remaining boxes of Truth About Drugs booklets for community distribution. The organizer expressed enthusiasm about future collaboration.
Community-service professionals also expressed interest in using the materials with the populations they serve. A representative from an organization providing social services, received an information kit and 200 booklets and expressed interest in arranging a Drug-Free World presentation for the public they serve. Another attendee which provides medical services to unhoused individuals, requested 200 booklets after explaining that she regularly encounters the effects of drug use and wanted educational materials to share with others.
Children attending the watch party also showed interest in the exhibit and participated by signing the Drug-Free World pledge board, committing to live a drug-free life.
By the conclusion of the event, Drug-Free World had distributed approximately 3,000 Truth About Drugs booklets, provided educational portfolios, and engaged hundreds of attendees through its prevention outreach.
