His passion for writing began in an unexpected place: a fourth-grade classroom where his class published a poetry book. “That was the first time I realized I loved writing,” he said.

Drawing inspiration from legendary author Og Mandino, Jones adopted a disciplined approach to writing. One strategy he credits for overcoming writer’s block is a practice he calls “Bach O’Clock.” “I go into my office at the same time every day and turn on Bach,” he said. “The routine helps me focus and create.”
