The Danish bridal retailer launched a playful campaign asking people to nominate the shop as the “Queen of Bridal Shops of Denmark.” Approximately 200 people participated, and Bridalstore.dk got its crown.
And that is exactly the point.
“We were looking around for someone to nominate us. We made a campaign online, and people agreed to nominate us and give us a crown.”
The campaign is intended as a light-hearted way of highlighting the company’s focus on bridal dresses and occasionwear, while adding a little humour to an industry traditionally associated with glamour, expectations and plenty of big moments.
More Than a Title
Behind the humorous coronation is a serious focus on the bridal experience.
Bridalstore.dk has operated a physical bridal shop in Herlev since 2019, where brides-to-be can explore and try different types of wedding dresses.
For the company, finding the right dress is not simply about choosing one particular style.
“A bride may not know in advance what kind of dress she will ultimately choose. That is why it is important to be able to explore different silhouettes, materials, styles, sizes and price levels,” says Bridalstore.dk.
That variety is one of the things the campaign aims to highlight.

For many brides-to-be, the search for a wedding dress begins long before they visit a bridal shop.

“You can see a lot on a screen. But there is still something special about standing in a wedding dress and discovering whether it feels like the right one,” the company says.
An Unofficial Queen
So, is Bridalstore.dk officially the “Queen of Bridal Shops of Denmark”?
No official jury, industry award or royal approval is behind the title. Instead, approximately 200 people voted online as part of the campaign, and Bridalstore.dk got its crown.
The company makes no attempt to hide the playful nature of the title.
The ambition behind the business, however, is genuine: to provide brides with inspiration, choice and personal guidance when searching for their wedding dress.
“We take wedding dresses very seriously. We take the crown slightly less seriously,” says Bridalstore.dk.
