PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Durable Surfaces, a national provider of concrete repair, restoration, and technical services for industrial facilities, announced the appointment of Matt Joyner as Chief Executive Officer. Joyner will lead the company’s business strategy and continued growth as Durable expands its capabilities and presence across the United States.
Joyner brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience across the technology, robotics, aerospace and defense industries, with a career focused on growing businesses, developing new markets, building strategic partnerships and scaling organizations.
Most recently, Joyner served as Chief Revenue Officer of Ghost Robotics, where he helped lead the technology company through a period of rapid growth and international market expansion. He also previously served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and as Vice Chair of its Defense Advocacy Committee.
“Durable has reached an exciting point in its growth,” said Derek Cressman, co-owner of Durable Surfaces. “We’ve built a strong reputation by solving difficult problems for our customers and surrounding ourselves with talented people. Matt brings the strategic leadership and experience scaling organizations that we believe will help us build on that foundation and capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”
As CEO, Joyner will work alongside Durable owners Jeff Desso, Derek Cressman and Marc Williams to establish and execute the company’s long-term business strategy. Desso, Cressman and Williams will retain ownership of Durable and remain actively involved in the business, leading marketing, technology and technical services, and operations, respectively.
“Durable has built something special: a talented team, deep technical expertise and strong relationships with some of the country’s leading industrial organizations,” said Joyner. “I’m excited to join the company at this stage of its growth and work alongside the team to build on what they’ve created, strengthen the organization and pursue the opportunities ahead.”
The appointment comes as Durable continues to evolve from its roots as a regional concrete contractor into a national partner serving complex industrial environments. Today, the company provides concrete repair and restoration, high-performance coatings, precision flatness remediation for robotics and automated systems, concrete testing and other technical services supporting warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and increasingly automated operations.
