HAMBURG, NJ, September 18, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Over the past several years, technology has advanced at an unprecedented rate. While many of these innovations feel new by their very nature, many have roots stretching back decades, and few are as attuned to the diligent work and sustained focus that built the foundations of these modern conveniences as Kyoshi Hamada.
Hamada is a retired electronics company executive, but he did not choose the industry segment he would ultimately specialize in. Instead, his company assigned him to it because it needed him most. At Keio University in Japan, Hamada initially worked for BA from the economics department, studying production control with a focus on cost management. He hoped to explore other areas within Toshiba.
At Toshiba, Hamada and a manager were sent to open the company’s first office in New York. What began with just two people grew into multiple business entities. As he details, the most rewarding part of Hamada’s career at Toshiba was introducing computer systems to the company. Toward his retirement, he focused on developing, implementing, and updating these systems across company operations. This gave him unique insight into how these technologies evolved over the years.
Hamada doesn’t believe he succeeded alone; many others contributed. He also thinks computer systems helped by making business operations more efficient. He argues that, beyond management approaches and strategies, computer systems play a large part in ensuring a company’s operational success.
He also says his success could be attributed to working independently, coming up with new ideas, and involving others in any challenge.
Today, despite his retirement, Kiyoshi Hamada remains deeply curious and involved in tracking the evolution of technology. Without the foundational work he and his peers did implementing computer systems decades ago, we likely wouldn’t have today’s technological tools.
